An ambulance and a police car attending a minor car crash on a Melbourne freeway have been hit by a truck.
The semi-trailer collected the emergency services vehicles and a car that had hit a guardrail on a ramp of the Monash Freeway-Eastlink interchange in Dandenong North about 5.45 am on Monday, police say.
The truck driver, the car driver and a bystander who'd stopped to help were all taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, Ambulance Victoria says.
No emergency services workers were injured but the ambulance was towed from the scene with significant damage to its rear.
The Dandenong-bound ramp for Eastlink has been closed all the way back to the Monash Freeway, police say.
VicRoads advises drivers an alternative route is Jacksons Rd to Princes Hwy and then onto Eastlink.
