Uber decal on door

1. Yesterday while in a traffic light, saw a car with an Uber decal (magnetic I think) on the front passenger door.

   Car had normal plates.

   I thought that was not allowed !

2. It isn't. They are going to be deported. Their car may also be used to house scientists in Antartica, instead of building Igloos.

   I mean not allowed by Uber, not the NSW RMS. I saw that in a thread here before

5. Not allowed as far as I'm aware! I've seen several cars with "Uber" as part of a personalised number plate. I wonder what their policy on this would be?!

   Yeah I read it somewhere but that guy had a BIG decal covering probably like one fourth of the door ..... decal had the same background color as the door so the white Uber logo stood out ......

   I thought maybe it's an Uber company car but on the next set of lights I saw him with the driver app running and he had a pax.

   Wouldn't be much good for me driving at night. I prefer the vehicle recognition better.
   How many wrong pax's does he get ? How many cashies ?

9. I think the uber rule about no decals was about your own business logos not the uber logo. So they don't want you driving around and picking up passengers in signwritten cars.

    cynical side of me says to increase chances of being hailed / picking up cashies. Generous side of me says to make it easier for pax to identify his car for pickups

12. I like the idea of a decal on the door. Or preferably a little uber light on the roof. Make it easy for them to find us. Bonus of grabbing a few cashies along the way.

13. Read the Terms and Conditions (available on your web Uber account) para 2.3 - we are not supposed to identify ourselves as Uber. Although I'm not sure how they would find out if you had a decal.

    I have seen seen him as well at the domestic airport. Not sure if he is on the forum but I am wondering if he is allowed to claim the extra expense of personalised plates as a tax deduction.

    I'm guessing you could claim them as an expense, you can for a business.. don't know why it would be any different.

    its a car expense. I believe you'd be able to claim your business usage % just like any other car expenses

17. In many states in America, Uber and Lyft have to identify themselves so they have a windscreen label with the logo. Am sure you've seen it online.
