The explosion is believed to have taken place in the entrance of an underground parking lot near the Polish foreign ministry, where over 300 people were quickly evacuated Emergency services raced to the scene and placed the street on a lockdown that has since been lifted. Reports from the scene claim a fire broke out when canisters of acetylene – commonly used for welding – caught light. The blaze has since been tackled by the fire brigade after threatening to set the building above on fire. Two people inside the vehicle have been taken to hospital to recieve treatment. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed 300 people were evacuated from the nearby building following the explosion. The foreign ministry building meanwhile is believed to have not been damaged as a result of the incident.TWITTER/GORĄCA LINIA RMF FM
