Country singer and radio personality Chuck Wicks was seriously injured in a weather-related car accident Tuesday on a trip with fellow "Ty, Kelly & Chuck Mornings" co-hosts Kelly Ford and Ty Bentli and producer Glenn Johnson.

The group was travelling to Mardi Gras to serve as grand marshals in a parade when their car hydroplaned then rolled over twice to land in a ditch full of water. The accident happened in Mississippi.

While Wicks' travel companions were safe, the "Stealing Cinderella" singer suffered a skull fracture and fractured a cervical vertebrae in his C2 region.

"Throughout the entire process, I remember my neck just getting stiffer and stiffer and between the shock of everything and being soaking wet from rolling through the water-filled ditch I couldn't stop shaking," Wicks wrote on his Facebook page.

He wrote that he told paramedics he had head and neck pain and was immediately put on a backboard following the accident. Wicks said his body continued to stiffen on the way to the hospital and he started to panic.

At the hospital, doctors told him he was lucky to be walking. Wicks said he will be wearing a neck brace for the next three months.

"It's gonna take some time to recover," Wicks wrote. "This isn't an, 'I'll feel better in a week type of deal.' But I'm extremely lucky. And I'm so glad that Ty, Kelly and Glenn are ok. So be safe out there. Don't take anything for granted."
