9.48am: A toddler hit by a car and taken to Tauranga Hospital has not been seriously hurt.
A police spokeswoman said officers at the scene of 15th Ave said there were no issues and the child was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Earlier: A toddler has been run over in a Tauranga car park this morning.
A police communications spokeswoman said officers have arrived at Bennetts Thermal Motor Inn on 15th Ave.
They were called there by ambulance staff after a child had been hit by a car in a car park about 9.15am.
Injuries to the toddler, believed to be two years old, were unclear at this stage.
The spokeswoman said the child had been moved inside a motel unit.
