The iPhone 7 has been leaking a lot lately, but usually that just means a blurry photo hastily taken from the factory floor. Now a fresh, high-quality image making the rounds online allegedly shows Apple's new smartphone in amazing detail.
The image, which was spotted by NoWhereElse, only shows the backside of the iPhone 7. So we're mostly getting a look at the larger camera, which is expected to pack a bigger sensor capable of taking in more light. You can also see the re-positioned antenna bands, which have been pushed to the edges of the device for a sleeker design. They're still very visible, but it's definitely an improvement.
The iPhone 7 is also widely expected to ship without a headphone jack, though the bottom edge of the device isn't visible here. The controversial change would make most current headphones obsolete (at least without a Lightning adapter), though it might free up some internal space for a bigger battery and allow Apple to make the device water resistant.
Other rumored additions include a 3D Touch home button, replacing the current physical button with a pressure sensitive display. The iPhone 7 Plus may also pack a pair of rear cameras and a Smart Connector port in back, offering a new way to attach accessories or charge the device.
These are all still just rumors, and we won't know anything for sure until Apple unveils the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in September. But we wouldn't be surprised to see more high-quality photos leak out soon to reveal the rest of the device and any remaining secrets.
