Apple to Include Lightning to 3.5mm Adapter With iPhone 7
Typically Deutsche Bank is a very reliable source and reports that Apple is reportedly planning to include a Lightning to 3.5 mm adapter with the iPhone 7 rather than releasing a new pair of Lightning EarPods. This has been a rumor going around for some time now.
Deutsche Bank analysts reveal what they are expecting from the iPhone 7 based on supply chain checks.
Here's a look at what they are anticipating for the release of the iPhone 7:
● A "Plus" model with a dual-camera for better zoom and 3GB of RAM
● A standard model with an improved camera and optical image stabilization
● Better sound, possibly stereo sound
● Professional class waterproofing
● A home button that uses motors to simulate a click, which should last longer than the current home button
● A new color (possi bly Space Black), so there's a version that looks different than current iPhones
● The elimination of the 3.5mm headphone jack, as it has been discussed for some time now. Headphones will instead plug in through Apple's lightning charging port
● Deutsche Bank expects Apple to include a Lightning-to-audio dongle with the iPhone 7, not a pair of Lightning headphones
With this new Adapter many (including myself) are wondering about listening to your device with the headphones and being able to charge also. Will many be forced to put out big money for quality Bluetooth headphones?
