Amazon Kindle 2014 vs Kindle 2016.
Amazon has just refreshed their entry level Kindle e-reader for the first time since 2014. The new device features 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage, whereas the older version only has 128 MB of RAM and 2 GB of internal storage.
The 8th generation Kindle has a resolution of 800×600, which is the exact same as the older model. The big changes with the new version is Bluetooth, which has full support for the new Kindle Audio Adapter and it is also available in two colors, white and black.
Kindle 8 is thinner by 1.1 mm than Kindle 7, what makes an 11% depth reduction. Its height is lower by 9 mm, and weight by 4 mm.
With a considerably smaller weight (161 g vs. 191 g), you'll find it much easier to read books one handed.
The video below will give you a solid comparison between both of these Kindle e-readers.
