New Bar On The Block: PAve Set To Open This Summer.
There's a new bar on the block. PAve is opening this summer where part of Skelly's used to be. They gave KDLT a preview of the new bar and told us their secrets on how they plan to stand out.
From the outside it doesn't look like much progress has been made to the bar replacing Skelly's. But on the inside a transformation is underway.
"Second floor's going to be somewhere you can kick your shoes off and do a little dancing. We'll have some entertainment of some sort up here," said General Manager John Geiken.
Geiken says floor one, with another full bar, will have a completely different feel calling it modern and industrial.
"Being able to go to one location and enjoy different atmosphere's is different to Sioux Falls," said Geiken.
Although PAve manager's didn't want to give away too many details they did reveal to us some ideas for a rooftop bar.
"PAve is opening on one of the busiest blocks here in downtown Sioux Falls so it's nice to see, you know we loved Skelly's and of course we're very excited about some of the upgrades that are coming with PAve," said Downtown Sioux Falls Communications Director Brienne Maner.
Upgrades including a LED lit custom made bar, and cell phone charging stations.
"It has an adapter for i-phones droids, and you can lock it. You make the code, lock it and come get it when ever you want," said Geiken.
Downtown Sioux Falls is also excited about the new foot traffic the bar will bring.
"Hopefully it will bring a new crowd of regulars to downtown Sioux Falls that are like 'Hey ya know I like this place this is going to be my new hang', So that will be exciting to see," said Maner.
Bringing a new atmosphere to Sioux Falls is exactly what PAve aims to do.
"I think everyone's going to love it," said Geiken
An opening a date has not been set yet. The indoor bars will open this summer. The roof top bar sometime next spring.
